I would just like to send a quick thank you to Erik and Jamie of Play in Edmonton for having me out there, it was lots of fun :) As well, thank you to all that showed up!

I know its been awhile since i have posted any new music, but i have a new compilation in the works...Also i have a recording from my last set at The World...it will be up soon ;)

I'v been focusing most of my attention on original productions and edits for my live shows...and havn't devoted a whole lot of time to making new 'podcasts'.

Patience is a virtue..

On a side note, if anyone is looking for some spiritual guidance and a path to happier day to day living, check out any work by Vancouver's Eckhart Tolle, I highly recommend his books.

Stephan Grondin was great, totally enjoyed the night...Suzanne Palmer was hideous. Not only was her voice flat, but she looked gross, and she kept screaming 'do you love me!?'

but it was fun

Manny Lehman w/Suzanne Palmer @ Le Maison 6/10

Not sure who opened, but i enjoyed him more than most of Manny's set (i get tired of the diva circuit sound that never changes all night)....until the last 2 hours. He play AWESOME tribal afterhours near the end, i was impressed for sure.
There was also an incredible show between djs feature 2 dudes fighting with fire swords and blowing fireballs at each other, it was great....way better than miss Palmer...who again, blew ass.

Though the whole event seemed small than the last time i went, the stage shows between djs were great, one performance featured the opera song from the movie the 5th element, and was amazing. Tons of dancers, lots of performers and acrobatics, it was very entertaining.....totally pissed that i left early when D-Formation came on...*sigh*

and finally...on the eve of my birthday...the event i was looking forward to the most..

Over the last few months I have found myself completely consumed by original production work and remixing. Since i havn't been giging to much due to the lame scene in Vancouver, i decided that i must continue to grow, and that means, making my own music. I have big sights and big goals, and if i'm going to set myself apart from other djs, i must be a producer as well, so here is my first remix:

Over the top is right! 1181 felt like a club last night! Cheap drinks, awesome people, amazing atmosphere, great bar, great bar staff, and of course, over the top attire! Anna and Brad did a great job putting that night together, and if it goes as well as it did last night, the westenders will have some serious partying to do on Tuesday asside from Celebrities...which is dominated by a different crowd on Tuesday..

The bar was FULL of people screaming, dancing and jumping around, it was amazing. Thank you all for comming!

Pride Weekend!

All things considered, Pride weekend was pretty good. Though really, Sunday was the only day that anything great happened. Saturday night, Marc Falco rocked the world with a stellar set full of classic tribal moments, and since nothing else was happening, The World was pretty packed.

Sunday morning, was truely an awesome morning. My friends and I had rented a flatbed truck and a huge sound system, and blasted a 3 hour pride set i recorded into the pride parade. We all of course, dressed in our assigned color underwear, and well, danced for parade lookers to watch! So much fun. After the Parade we attended our annual patio party at our fabulous friends' mark and alex's place. With the whole ground there, minus a few loved ones who now live in toronto, it was a wonderful day.

Finaly, I opened 'Cream @ Dicks on Dicks. What a great venue. It looked great in there, I spun a really hard set ...cause no one was around, at that time, lol, and my friends enjoyed it :)

Then Jesse took over with some great electro and progressive house and rocked as usual. Then Hirshee & Oliver took over..

While i believe it was Hirshee that had the good tunes...it was techy electro...that the majority of the crowd wasn't seeimg to get into it...the party actually started to wind down...early..

So, my friend Gareth and i talked to the promoters (Tara and Shantel [Nectar]) and it was decided that i would finish the night..

From the moment 'Altar - Party People' began, until 'Masters at work - Work the Drill' ended, the crowd was insane, that was, by far the most amazing (and biggest) crowd of people i have played for. While apparently no one noticed...i wasn't happy with my mixing job at all...but managed to work through it. I was extatic with song choices though :)

(it was an edit of the kobbe & austin leeds remix).
Oh! and Shawn Riker played Jesse Garcia's mix of The Underground, IT WAS FIERCE!

I was unfortunatly let down by the production of an event which is suppose to showcase whistler and all its excitment to people from around the world. Weather it was the unacceptable audio quality (mostly near the beginning, it got better as people complained) or the 'high school dance' feel, it was absolutly not worth the price of admition. Jamie J. Sanchez, although from what i have always known as a great dj, didn't really seem to deliver either. There was a lot of standing around going on in the crowd, although I think the audio had a big part in that, but as well, the track selection was not much different than what you might hear at the Odyssey, with the acception of a few tribal/Progressive tracks here and there. I found myself in the secondary room with DJ Matt Consola for much of the evening. To top it off, the party ended at 6:00am....well i suppose thats somewhat reasonable...er whatever...
What made the night so much fun was that so many of my awesome friends where there, and really, when those guys are around, theres never a bad time. With all things considered, it was still a damn good time.

After experiencing him spin at Stereo in Montreal last year, I went on a mad hunt for anything i could find of his.

With the release and introduction of facial recognition software on the internet, it will become possible to find pictures of anyone on the internet...simply, by searching by name, as opposed to a filename...which doesn't always include names of the individuals in the photo. A new age is upon us.
I can see it now..in our very near future, cell phones will have 100 gigs of memory, cameras will be 3 megapixels, the internet will be cheap and high speed, downloadable mp3 players will be the rage, and portable OS software will be every changable and customizable, and each 200 dollar device will come specially equipped with GPS. Not only will this service be marketable, but it will also allow for anyone on the network, to find anyone on the network, anywhere, anytime.
